How To Set Up a WhatsApp Group – WhatsApp is possibly the largest and most popular instant messaging app in the entire world. My brother-in-law had a set for his wedding planning last year, which crossed unnecessary emailing and strings. Families can set them up to share photos and chat. Businesses can set one up for customer support questions. the possibilities are endless.
If this is not a private discussion, you can make public a clickable invitation link that will enable anyone in the world to instantly join the group from their phone or desktop computer. Read – How To Use Whatsapp Web On Your Pc Or Laptop
Set up a Group on WhatsApp
Here’s how to set up a group on WhatsApp. We want to do this on a desktop app because it is very easy. The new groups will then immediately synchronize with your phone.
- When you are logged into the WhatsApp desktop app, click on the new chat in the left-hand contact column.
- Now you will see an option for New Group. Click on it.
- Start writing the names of the people you want to add to the group. To open a group you must add at least one person other than yourself. If what you want is on WhatsApp, but you can’t find them, make sure you have their correct phone number listed on your phone.
- Once you have added at least one other group participant, the group will be ready for chatting. If you click on the group title at the top, you can make some customizations and turns. This includes changing the group’s title, adding avatars, adding details, and designating some members of the group as compliments.
- If you scroll down that list further, you will see this option. This is where you can create a clickable invite link to the group if the discussions are not private.
- You will then get an encrypted link that you can share around. Since this is a private group, I have obscured the last few digits to keep out Riff-Rough.
- By this point, your new group will appear on your WhatsApp-registered mobile phone. If not, close WhatsApp on your phone and restart it.
How To Set Up a WhatsApp Group – If your group starts to get very busy, you may want to consider muting the sound so that your phone doesn’t always ping. You can then read the message at your leisure
